— VP Manufacturing
Ryan is VP Manufacturing at Essentium, bridging the gap between the research and commercial efforts for bringing new technologies to the marketplace. As a founder of Essentium Materials in 2013, Ryan has played a pivotal role in developing and launching new products at Essentium, helping to secure funding, conduct R&D, and procure customers for the next generation of essential materials.
Ryan’s background in thermoplastic composites and technology entrepreneurship has helped Essentium obtain numerous private and federal technology commercialization grants and launch its entire line of initial product offerings. He has co-authored multiple peer-reviewed journal articles and patents pending.
Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Baylor University and holds a Technology Entrepreneurship certificate from the Baylor Hankamer School of Business. He is also currently a visiting scholar at Texas A&M University. In his spare time, Ryan enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, reading C.S. Lewis & J. R. Tolkien, and the increasingly rare opportunities to go fishing and play golf.
